What Stayer knows about you, where it is kept, and how to make it stop. Written in plain language on purpose — a policy you cannot read is not consent.

Your email address and name, from signing in. The answers you give in the briefing: your age, height, weight, training history, the hours you have and the days you can train. Everything you log afterwards — how each session felt, your morning check-ins, injuries and illness, gear, fuelling. Workouts you upload as files or import from Strava. And if you joined the waiting list before opening an account, the address you left.
The health screen, anything you tell us hurts, and any conditions you mention are health data. In Europe that is "special category" data with stricter protection, and we treat it that way: it is used only to decide what your plan should ask of you this week, it is never shared with anyone, and it is never used to advertise or profile you. You can leave every one of those fields blank — the plan still works, it just adapts less well. Deleting your account deletes it immediately along with everything else.
Your training data is in a Postgres database hosted by Neon in Frankfurt, Germany. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, which holds your email and password — we never see your password. Email is sent through Resend from servers in Ireland. The site runs on Vercel. Each of these companies processes data on our instructions and nothing else.
If you connect Strava, we import your recent activities to match them against planned sessions. That data is shown only to you, is never passed to any AI system, and is deleted the moment you disconnect — either here or from Strava's own settings. We ask only for permission to read; we cannot post, edit or delete anything in your Strava account.
Page views, through Vercel Analytics. It sets no cookies and creates no identifier that can follow you to another website, which is why this site has no cookie banner. We also record technical errors through Sentry so we can fix them; those reports deliberately exclude your email address, your training data and anything from Strava.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your training or health information to train AI models. There is no third-party tracking on this site.
You can download everything we hold about you, in one file, from Plan & settings — and delete your account there too, which erases your data immediately rather than scheduling it. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to correct your data, to object to how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. Ask us anything at contact@getstayer.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Your training data stays until you delete your account. Waiting-list addresses are removed once you have an account, or on request. Error reports are kept for 30 days.
Stayer is run by a small independent team. For anything about your data, write to contact@getstayer.com.
