The short version: this is training guidance, not medical advice, and the race's own rules always win.

Stayer gives general training guidance based on what you tell it. It cannot examine you, it does not diagnose anything, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or a physiotherapist. Talk to a doctor before beginning endurance training, particularly if the health screen flagged something. If a pain is sharp, one-sided, or getting worse, stop and get it looked at — the app will tell you the same thing.
You decide what to do each day and you accept the risk of doing it. Endurance sport carries real risk of injury, and open-water swimming carries a risk of drowning: never swim alone, and never in conditions you are not sure of.
Course details, cut-off times and rules here are our best understanding and may be out of date. The official athlete guide for your race is the only authority, and it overrides anything shown here. Check it.
Stayer is free while we are finding out what works, and it may change or break. We will tell you well before any of it starts costing money. We may end an account that abuses the service, and you can close yours whenever you like.
We build this carefully and test it, but we cannot promise the service will always be available or always right. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, lost training, a missed race or any other loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
